keen bees

Flashbacks seem to take

hold of the mind,

grasping dream-like fantasies

like real moments,

shared entwined.

Not merely from

time to time,

instead though

with our most

inquisitive inner eyes.

Still, the powers

our bodies exude,

fresh sweat-soaked

words not at all

mute.

A vivid embodiment

engendered

by the mass

of our thoughts,

we circle in

and around us

as we look upon

those feelings

that throb in our hearts.

let freedom ring

Federleicht – On The Streets – Xtra 10″ – CONNAISSEUR RECORDINGS

A On The Streets (Kollektiv Turmstrasse Let Freedom Ring Mix)

B Herr B

double1

The burner of this vinyl is the “let freedom ring” mix on the A side and smashes with beautiful male voice, whomping minimal beats and melodious breaks. This track was the climax of every Kollektiv Turmstrasse live set in 2008. The reactions they received, months before this release was even scheduled were phenomenal. The famous quoting of the legendary Martin Luther King speech is the sticking moment of this emotional journey everybody will remember. A serious hit candidate! Herr B. on the B side is a slow dub atmospheric water minimal afterhour track. Reminds of mid-90ies high quality intelligent techno from UK like Two Lone Swordsmen or The Sabres Of Paradise. A complex rhythm combined with emotional detroitish strings. For special occasions…

Federleicht is a collaboration of jack-of-all-trades Florian Schirmacher (Wareika, Glowing Glisses etc.) and Marc Bammann. Far from any typical restrictive club style, Florian and Mark have developed a project that reflects another sphere of sound, a sphere that goes back to both musicians’ musical roots. In every Federleicht track you can perceive moments from the past of electronic music of all directions, from multilayered deep house to intelligent techno to downbeat grooves or abstract soundscapes. Federleicht is a musical processing of the past. “On The Streets” is such a special piece of music, that the label decided to give it an outstanding remix treatment by the gifted hands of Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Groove Magazine’s producer of the year 2008: SIS . Kollektiv Turmstrasse had such a run working on the remixes, that they presented 5 different versions to Connaisseur Recordings, of which the label chose 3 for release.

Kollektiv Turmstrasse is a project by Christian Hilscher and Nico Plagemann from Lübeck/Hamburg. It all started as a typical apartment-sharing community in 1999. Both had been infected early by electronic music. Chris through his passion for collecting records and Nico through the early Tracker- and Demo scene. True to the slogan “Youth explorers” they brew sounds inside the KTS laboratory, influenced by the Basic Channel at that time. Relatively quickly did they fall in love with the upcoming netaudioscene, that was so idealistic and became quickly a new way of publicity for the duo. KTS produced in silentio until 2004, when no-response.org, a netlabel for free electronic music, was formed. In the following years, new plans were forged and their own sound has been rasped until 2006, when “Musik Gewinnt Freunde” came into life. Further releases followed on Ostwind Records, Connaisseur Recordings and of course…Musik Gewinnt Freunde.

architectural moods

These are some photoshop-collages I did for the architect´s office I´m working in. There was an invited competition some colleges of mine were working on (a gigantic luxury-hotel-casino-spa-complex for damn rich russian tourists) and I helped them out with some graphics. They should illustrate the way through the building and show the athmosphere.

Irrlichter @ GAD Award

These Sketches are Characterdesigns for a game concept I developed together with Georg Wallner and Benjamin Hable at the FH.

We really got caught up on the gameplay since we wanted this thing to be really good. The concept was,… but it would have been far too complicated to programm/set up.  XD

the notion of…

.

Inconceivable, by and large, in every motion,

continuously, I cried my heart out onto you as

if somewhere in the midst of a great ocean; like

sprinkled by waves with water every few seconds anew,

your face so precious that it did not ever seem to

have altered, just as my wish to be again with you.

.

Leaving you and leaving me like leaves

swayed so softly as by soothingly a breeze after

so calmly a storm crushed our longings and made us

quietly die in a mess on our own. We,

now, like the sands of time blown by shyly with

our hearts conscientiously bumping never again, but

rather separated and all alone; love seems

unpredictable like flying pebbles, sticks and stones.

.

The body, I am forever at a loss of, at last, not

attached to any of my scopes, made me write

a poem in favor of shiningly wet moss

to contrast the crushing of those everlasting dreams and hopes

that gave as cold as be to me a grasp in my

defying of the odds thereof.

.

Winds, the waters, and the earth; you, ever

intrigued me more than all of them combined, left my

heart scorched forever, bound up with yours afire,

while knowingly you were the only gusts and gravel and

drops that ultimately put me out of desires. And still, not

having figured them of ever having ceased to be my

burning props, a theatrical depiction of my heart’s loss

is what this whole time I have been thinking of…

.
