Part II: By reorganizing found illustrations taken from old comics, paintings, children’s books, professional papers and magazines one can create something new.
Thank you paps!
We had a lot of new guest yesterday at the 3rd Royal Styrian Drawing Jam at the Forum Stadtpark. Sitting there until about 11 pm we drew like crazy and enjoyed the mainly nice weather on the terrace. Also, we opened up an extra new blog for the drawing jam - check it out for photos and drawing results (will come soon)!

On my own account, I want to advertise my new blog. Well, it is not really new, but I will use it much more from now on to present new illustrations and comics. If some of you people want to be networked on my blog, write me a comment. networking rules! Viva la revolution! Visit my new blog here: http://pocket-universe.blogspot.com/ To get started, I want to post one of my recent works here, I also posted it on the blog. Hope you enjoy!
Today I simply want to show you some pages of fantastic illustrators with comic-like styles. I really enjoy having a look trough their webpages/blogs, and try to learn from them rather than being desperated how people can be so good.
Dave Coopers work is pretty insane, he also did some concept art work for Futurama. He paints strange, absurd woman doing insane things to each other in nature. But it looks good! Dave Coopers official website is still under construction, however, there is a lot of work by him on Flickr.
Sarah Mensinga has worked on various TV shows and Animation projects and lives inTexas. I dont know much about her, but I love her style. Look at her blog or her website and enjoy.
When I was in New York, I bought this fantastic artbook by French illustrator/comic artist and concept artist Claire Wendling. I am in love with her character designs and her background art. She did yome work for Warner Brothers and other big names in the film industry. She has a lot of different styles, I especially enjoy her work with a lot of black and white tunes. This is her webpage.
Enjoy the webpages, I love to browse in them. Ill try to introduce some more illustrators in the next time - there just too many for just one post.
Join us with drawing material, paper, colors and a lot of spirit to create insane characters!

einige starwars storyboards inspirierten mich zu dieser arbeit, die ich gleich zum eingewöhnen an ein wacomboard nutzte
