Blattwerk in Megaphon

The Grazer street-magazine “Megaphon” has published a nice article about “Blattwerk” in it´s current edition. It´s worth reading it, so go spend 2,20 Euro and buy it!

Megaphon-Artikel

The article-photo was made by me; taking posted works from all the Blattwerk artist´s and put them together in some kinda collage. Unfortunately the Megaphon-people didn´t use the whole pic; so here it is in two formats. Hope you like it.

Aldous In Istanbul

Uncover Aldous In Istanbul, the freshly new animated film invented by the wandering painter Aldous Eveleigh. Oily smell of the Bosphorus, monotonous chant of the muezzin and pretty Ottoman girl on the menu of this new opus streamed on Namook. More details on Aldous’s Page:

Martin Gasselsberger & ‘Sir’ Oliver Mally @ Straden

Martin Gasselsberger

'Sir' Oliver Mally

Two weeks ago I went to Straden (Oststeiermark) for a CD presentation of two Austrian musicians - “Sir” Oliver Mally and Martin Gasselsberger. As I like their new CD - a fusion of Singer/Songwriter, Contemporary Blues and Melodic Jazz - I decided to take my camera with me to do some live photography.

Illustrators of the World #1

Today I simply want to show you some pages of fantastic illustrators with comic-like styles. I really enjoy having a look trough their webpages/blogs, and try to learn from them rather than being desperated how people can be so good.

Dave Coopers work is pretty insane, he also did some concept art work for Futurama. He paints strange, absurd woman doing insane things to each other in nature. But it looks good! Dave Coopers official website is still under construction, however, there is a lot of work by him on Flickr.

Dave Cooper

Sarah Mensinga has worked on various TV shows and Animation projects and lives inTexas. I dont know much about her, but I love her style. Look at her blog or her website and enjoy.

When I was in New York, I bought this fantastic artbook by French illustrator/comic artist and concept artist Claire Wendling. I am in love with her character designs and her background art. She did yome work for Warner Brothers and other big names in the film industry. She has a lot of different styles, I especially enjoy her work with a lot of black and white tunes. This is her webpage.

Enjoy the webpages, I love to browse in them. Ill try to introduce some more illustrators in the next time - there just too many for just one post.
