Am Wochenende des 2. und 3.Mais gibts wieder das jaerliche Hoerfest, ein Fest neuer Musik, kommt doch und entdeckt etwas das ihr in Musik noch nicht gefunden habt.

dreistil meets blattwerk
Hallo liebe alle! — Ich möchte gerne kurz darauf hinweisen dass die Website des DREISTIL Filmvereins, bei dem ich Gründungsmitglied bin, vor kurzem offiziell online gegangen ist: zu finden unter www.dreistil.at. Es gibt — als Anreiz zum “wiedervorbeischauen” u.a. ein Filmblog und ein Forum. Und generell geht es uns um ähnliche Ziele wie blattwerk — verbreiten, vernetzen, verspaßhaben. (Und somit habe ich auch eine aktuelle Grafikdesign-Arbeit von mir hier präsentiert :-) LG Max

Endlich abgedreht! Nach zwei Drehtagen in Wien im Sommer 07, und zwei weiteren Drehtagen am 18./19. Feb. in der Postgarage gehts nun in die Postproduction!
Hier sind ein paar Bilder vom Blattwerk-Dreh zu dem Musikvideo “Ser Honesto” für die Grazer Band Goodbye Kitty!

Neben Steadycam- und Trickaufnahmen, kam auch eine, aus Vorhangstangen, selbst gebastelte “Bodycam” zum Einsatz. Dabei ist die Kamera am Körper des Darstellers fest montiert und übernimmt dessen Bewegungen.
Wir bedanken uns bei all jenen, die mitgearbeitet und uns unterstützt haben!

Die Kulturvermittlung Steiermark veranstaltet 2008 wieder die Ausstellung photo_graz, die einen Querschnitt durch die aktuelle steirische Fotoszene zeigen wird. Fotokünstler/innen, die in Graz und in der Steiermark geboren wurden bzw. dort tätig sind, werden eingeladen, ein künstlerisches Statement abzugeben. Es gibt keine Themenvorgabe, zugelassen sind Werke (Einzelbilder, Serien u.a.) aus dem Zeitraum 2007-2008, in denen die Fotografie als Medium zeitgenössischer Kunst eingesetzt wird. Eine Publikation zur Ausstellung wird diese Momentaufnahme der Fotoszene 2008 in Graz und der Steiermark dokumentieren. Nähere Informationen entnehmen Sie bitte der Ausschreibung. Kleines Re:Design
Hallo Blattwerk Freunde, wie ihr sicher bemerkt habt hat die Seite in den letzten Tagen etwas andere Züge angenommen. Sprich: Wir haben das Design auf drei Spalten erweitert (zwecks besserer Übersicht). Auch die Links sind jetzt besser hervorgehoben und die Typografie hat sich leicht verändert. Ansonsten bleibt alles beim Alten . . .
Danke an http://blog.unlugarenelmundo.es/ für die Inspiration zum Layout in drei Spalten.
Bruchstücke - die Audiosessions
Während andere ordentlich feierten haben wir uns anständig bemüht in endlosen Sessions unseren Film komplett neu zu vertonen. In Mühevoller Kleinarbeit wurde jedes auch noch so winzige Geräusch rekonstruiert und fachgerecht Aufgenommen. An dieser Stelle ein herzliches Danke an Flozilla & Julian Stampfer (fürs Microfon und die Soundkarte) und an Markus Haslinger (für den Mischer). Einen kleinen Vorgeschmack auf die Dachbodenszene gibt der Spaßhalber von Matthias Jäger zusammengebaute Dancetrack Rumpelkammer.

parasite-net platform for artists and designers

Wannet to introduce the parasite-net platform for artists & designers to you, that will be launched on 31st January 2008 at the Cafe Rondo.

Here a short text about the platform and its goals…
parasite-net aims at raising the public awareness of artists and designers, through providing them with their own web space on the parasite-net platform in order to help to present them to a wider public.
The platform parasite-net should serve as a database of artists and designers and it is striven for it to become a tool for professionals out of the art and design sector used to discover new talents. On the other hand it can also be used in order to get information on new works of specific artists and their exhibition schedule.
Participants who already have their own website and who want to use parasite-net for an additional presentation possibility in order to belong to a larger community of artists and designers are welcome as well as those, who want to use parasite-net for their first presentation in the internet.
As a database for artists and designers parasite-net does not claim to be the sole place that can be consulted for data about artists and designers but rather aims at networking different existing platforms and provide the possibility to get connected to each other.
There exist various platforms for the art and design sector however; so far they do not seem to be functioning satisfactorily. Either the information seems to be out of date or the content of the platforms is very poorly structured and not very practical and user-friendly.
parasite-net aims to avoid these faults by giving artists and designers the chance to keep their sites up to date by themselves. In each account that the members generate an easy-to-use form is provided where members can fill in basic data and furthermore there exists a simple upload function in order to add images, video files, CVs, or news in your personal blog.
The name parasite-net has derived from a parable by the French philosopher Michel Serres in his book “The parasite“.
In this story a poor man stands outside a fancy restaurant and sees a rich man eating roast inside. The poor man smells the delicious roast and thinks to himself if he smells this wonderful odour of the roast a little longer his hunger will be gone and he will feel saturated.
Suddenly, the owner of the restaurant runs outside up to the poor man and says to him that he has to pay in order to stand here and smell the wonderful odour of the roast. Soon a heated argument evolves. A minute later another man passes by and offers to settle the dispute. He asks to the poor man for a coin and puts it on the floor. Then he starts to spin the coin so that it produces a mellow tone and he says:
“The roast is paid with money and the smell of the roast is paid with sound.“
