Framents, Plasture, Clay, Wax, Objects, 2008
Radish, Mouseholes, Barbies, Wieners, Underwear, Mixer…. and lots of other things were in the focus of my work this semester. I showed this experiment in my art class bevor the summer break. One idea was to start working with material and different techniques. I was at home (Feldbach) in my studio so i decided to work with Plasture, Wax, Clay and Objets which get my attraction.
By looking at it at the first time you can see colored objects in white, brown, purple and rosa in different shapes lying on the ground. What really got my attention was the semantics and shape of the human body. So i focused the structure of hair on the lower leg and some other parts of the body and tried to cast and copy that.
Another interesting thing to me was the fact of the abscence of something. You can not see it but you know it is there. For example a mousehole offers a unknown and linked range of rooms under the ground but also things which are up side down (cap and espandrillo) were in the focus of my experiment.
Entitled “Fragments” shows things out of your everyday life in a different way. Waxed underwear, twines and a purple mixer are part of this installation.
