Flowers who once blossomed immaterialize like dust. Blown away by the winds. Gone with the air – parched. In no time. No time at all. All of them are everywhere. Inhaled once and for all. Day in and day out. By all of us who need to breathe. Daisies like Rosemaries. In and out of our nostrils. And lilies like sage. There is no such thing as empathy. It all comes down to nothing. And we’re a catastrophe. In the end we’ll die alone. But you know that just like mephedrones.

in a crazy summer came

on a dark wave in

an abundance of white cream.

shooting through space

where air was lost

and hearts vanished akin.

hands floating like little birds

calm and in a daze

surrounded by water – most darkest.

hair as white as it’s thin

grasps like tentacles

looming over us like a creature of the sea.

abandoned what was left of us -

crushed bones and empty vessels

stretched long like eels.

gone blank from horror

our eyes lost their colors.

but what did come from this maliciousness

apart from death in the sea and

hearts gone lost like venus long ago?

I want to be a whale to take over

what is left of that sunken ship –

borne by sea foals and algae,

grounded in the sands of time,

the depth of the sea.

Gone, my love, gone and

still your wreck is my loved one.

Heading nowhere while counting swarms

of bubbles on the way,

going inside and not astray.

Starfish cradle sunlit particles of light,

dolphins whine and dodge through unlit foamy pastures,

while sparkles circle round crying out in mournful plights,

and rocks sink motionless from surface to the muddy banks

gaining speed with unseen gestures at arms’ length.

Wailing, but the whale is gone.

Dreaming nevermore and still forlorn.

Floating dreamless without a shape to come,

When, just when will I be the one?

anvils, heavily laden – guilt and tremor,

dropped from skies – borne through tempesteous weathers

to nothing but squash all men like flies forlorn

while water rose from every pore of earthly soil,

and signifies the cry ‘bout loss nonetheless being scorn.

Vergänglichkeit – das Brennen einer Kerze.

Nichts wert, entbehrlich – das Ende, das vererbt ist.

Zu sterben – ein Leben letztendlich wertlos?

Im Geist’ wie strömend Wassers Winde

schweigt wie plätschernd Orkans Bächlein,

aufbrausend, doch gebärdend wider Worte,

ihre Flamme – im Dunkel des Nächtens.

Zerronnen, entronnen. Entkommen – keine Kerze.

Vergänglich’ Leben – Treibsand schwindend. Schwere.

Verschlossen. Einsam nähert sich – Schwärze.

I could think about the rain kissing our faces and us naked.

I could think about time and count the days that I’ve been wasting.

I could think about time and wait until these days are wasted

I could think about the rain and keep wishing to see our faces.

Though, what keeps me thinking for ages is

when will I see your face again as if it’s sacred?

Structured (digital) light merged with built matter – an augmented material study which evoke throughout a series of projections in public spaces. The pixel (still) forms the smallest entity of a grid (raster) produced by a digital projector and the amount of pixel (resolution) is being raised by technological development to gain more precision and realistic images. Projection-screens are produced to generate perfect conditions for displaying the thrown light points and let them appear as one single (motion) picture for the human eye…

[60x60px] ON PLASTER is a first output of a series of materials merged with 3600 of those light points arranged in the uniform shape of a square featuring virtually all colors at the same time (r=255, g=255, b=255) – The “perfect little square structure” of the pixels produced by the machine in combination with the “organic rough surface” of the physical material results in new patterns. The interest in this “material study” evoke out of projections within given / found situations – throwing light on facades, floors, streets, trees and everything else that can be found in public spaces. Regard it as sort of detailing and learning to know ones instruments and their properties…. [work in progress]

Two weeks ago I went to Straden (Oststeiermark) for a CD presentation of two Austrian musicians – “Sir” Oliver Mally and Martin Gasselsberger. As I like their new CD – a fusion of Singer/Songwriter, Contemporary Blues and Melodic Jazz – I decided to take my camera with me to do some live photography.

Thema der Arbeit ist der Versuch eine Person in einem Zustand vollkommener Freiheit von äußeren Einflüssen zu portraitieren. In dem Zeitpunkt des Aufpralles nach einem Sturz glaube ich einen solchen Zustand gefunden zu haben, da wir in diesen Sekunden nur auf die Erhaltung der Gesundheit konzentriert sind.
Somit ist in jenem Moment auch die Beziehung zwischen Kamera und Model annulliert!

Thema
des Bildes ist das menschliche Bedürfnis nach einem Sinn der Welt, dieses wird gleichgesetzt mit dem streben einer Fliege nach Nahrung. Der Vergleich soll Sinn,
oder Unsinn, dieses Strebens reflektieren und an die Gefahren von Ideologien erinnern.

So wie sich eine Fliege Gefahren ausliefert um an Essen zu kommen, so gefährlich
können auch Ideologien für den Menschen sein.
Dennoch brauch[t?]en wir sie zum [über]leben?

Fliege
Die Fliege wird nur indirekt dargestellt: der Triptychon, sowie die Struktur von der
Fliegenklatsche thematisieren das Facettenauge der Fliege bei dem jedes Teilauge
nur einen Ausschnitt der Umgebung abbildet. Die Zeitung-Titelschrift: “Reisen” weist
auf die Freiheit der Fliege hin.
Bedeutungsperspektivisch ist der Zucker auch das Inhaltliche Zentrum des Bilides.
Und die Fliegenklatsche steht für die Gefahr, der Nahrungssuche.

Religion
Der Triptychon, die Christushaltung der Person und das Abendmalchema
repräsentieren Religion und Sinnsuche des Menschen. Die Pistole, verweist auf
zahlreiche Kriege die der Religion und anderer Ideologien wegen geführt wurden.
Die Pistole steht der Zeitung, welche Meinungsfreiheit oder Propaganda repräsentieren
kann, entweder Entgegen oder umschließt den Menschen im Zentrum.

“Night_Lights” ist eine Fotoserie die während einem Aufenthalt in Neuseeland entstanden ist, sie ist Dokument einer Menge nächtlicher Spaziergänge und erzählt in einzelnen Bildern eine urbane Geschichte.

Endlich beginne ich, ein Jahr nach meiner Neuseelandreise, die Fülle der dort entstandenen Bilder zu bearbeiten. In nächster Zeit werde ich somit kleinere Neuseeland-Serien auf Blattwerk stellen.

During “Architekturfotografie” class (Architectural Photography) in spring 2007 I did this series of photos. It describes the path from the main building of the Technical University Graz (“Alte Technik”) to the former “Haus der Architektur” taken by a “blond dwarf” (thanks to my friend Linde who provided her blond hair).

Bei einer Belichtungszeit von f=2.8, 30sec/400ASA
entsteht bei Vollmond ein tagesähnlicher aber dennoch surrealer Eindruck!

Diese Arbeit ist 2005 im Zuge meinem photographischen Abschlussprojekt an der Ortweinschule entstanden. Fotografiert habe ich mit einer Mamiya RB67 und Farbnegativfilmen (400 ASA), selbst vergrößert und ausgearbeitet, dann in Mappenform präsentiert. Dies hier ist die mit Photoshop nachbearbeitete Variante. Die färbige folgt in bälde.

Diese Fotos lagen seit Jahren in einer kleinen Schachtel und waren total zerkratzt. Ich habe sie zur Erhaltung und Konservierung digitalisiert und farblich nachbearbeitet.
